Nuno Andrade is a guitar player, vocalist and songwriter that, after long years doing music as a solo artist, in a band or for TV commercials, he finally lend himself to the experimentation of The Blues - an old influence and passion - with the purpose of understanding it, explore it and test out new ways and approaches for the Blues, always trying to keep the "soul" as the main focus.
With that in mind, Nuno put together a band called Fireblue Blues Band that was his first approach of what would became his latest band around this music style - Nuno Andrade Blues Drive.
The passion for the energy of the Blues is the starting point of a personal journey of investigation and experience, naturally linked to the already acquired influences of other styles (that actually came from the Blues) - Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Funk, etc.
Trough this process the songs are created and/or reinterpreted both in a more classic way or in something else, but always keeping the improvisation as an important part of the performance - The idea is to keep the songs alive and each performance a singular experience both to the audience and the musicians.
Nuno Andrade Blues Drive presents themselves as a trio in it's more basic format, but, it's always possible to have more musicians on stage, both as a bigger version of the band or as guest musicians for the gig - typical on this style of music.

The rhythm section is defined by two great musicians - Diogo Rodrigues (bass) and Nifa Lobo (drums).
Diogo Rodrigues it's a cool bass player, with lots of groove and eager to learn and to fit nice bass lines to complement the songs.
Nifa Lobo it's a powerful and focused player that's also experienced in Rock, Jazz, and Funk.
Together they're a great backup band that keeps the steady and soulful pulse going strong in the songs.
